Today was one of two campus-wide knowledge management talks that I delivered on the Abu Dhabi campus of Al Ain University of Science and Technolgy. Unlike most of the events that were part of my Fulbright grant, this was not tied to a particular class or group, but rather it was open to the entire university community to attend. I was absolutely delighted with the turnout; we had a packed house. I even had a few people who had attended previous talks return for even more punishment!
The theme of this session was the relationship between big data and knowledge management. Of course, I had a few stories of great successes as well as a few spectacular failures.
I was honored at the end of the talk to be awarded a beautiful gift from my incredibly kind hosts at Al Ain University.
