For the second year, John was a professor onboard MV Explorer as part of the Semester at Sea’s Maymester voyage. John’s “Global Business” class focused on the cultural and behavior aspects of management around the world. Building on the theme of Global Comparative Education, the class included “Doing Business in … ” sessions for the countries visited on the voyage (Costa Rica, Peru, Ecuador, Panama, and Belize). The prestigious University of Virginia is the academic sponsor of the program, which ensures the program maintains a very high academic standard.
